How We Work
From Vision to Finished Piece

Stone Selection
Every piece begins with the stone. Our gemologists assess each lab-grown diamond individually — evaluating cut, colour, clarity, and character — selecting only those that meet our exacting standard. We do not purchase by grade alone; we purchase by quality of light.

Design & Rendering
Our designers develop each piece through detailed sketches and precision CAD modelling — considering every proportion and every relationship between stone and metal before a single gram is cast. For bespoke commissions, clients review and approve renderings at each stage.

Casting & Forming
Working in platinum, 18ct gold, and other fine metals, our goldsmiths cast and form each mounting by hand. Metal is worked at the correct temperature, cooled at the correct rate, and inspected at every stage — ensuring structural integrity before any stone is ever set.

Stone Setting
Setting is where the piece comes alive — and it is where the difference between adequate and exceptional is most visible. Our setters work with surgical precision, securing each stone to maximise light performance while achieving the clean, confident lines that define a Kisme piece.

Finishing & Polishing
The final surface of a piece tells you everything about the standard behind it. Our polishers spend hours on each creation — working through progressive grades to achieve a mirror finish on high-polish surfaces and a perfectly uniform texture on matte or brushed areas.

Quality Inspection
Before any Kisme piece leaves our atelier it undergoes a final inspection against a rigorous checklist covering structural integrity, stone security, surface quality, and dimensional accuracy. Only pieces that pass every point are approved for delivery — no exceptions.

Stone setting is one of the most demanding disciplines in fine jewellery. Our setters work under magnification to place and secure each diamond with precision measured in fractions of a millimetre — ensuring both structural integrity and optimal light performance.
Gemology
The Gemologist
Our gemologists evaluate every stone before it enters our supply chain — assessing not only grade and certification but the quality of light, the character of the cut, and the suitability for the specific piece it will become part of. Grade is a guide; their judgment is the standard.
